Started around 2000, MattWalters.net is authored by Matt Walters and has had many forms. The site was built to be a collection of his thoughts, projects, and photos as well as serving as a contact point for friends and colleagues to keep up with what’s going on in his life and what things he's interested in. In the recent past it has been serving as a launching point for various side projects such as WordPressEasily.com, WordCamp Richmond, and SnipIt.Me.

Born in 1979, Matt Walters grew up in King George, Virginia and moved to Richmond in 1999 to pursue a career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). After volunteering for six years as an EMT and then working as a paid EMT for Richmond City, he moved back into the Information Technology field and now works as a Senior Developer with a focus in PHP and WordPress development.
