Richmond Volleyball Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing athletes of all ages for amateur volleyball competition. The purpose of RVC is to promote interest in the sport of volleyball, provide training in the skills and techniques of volleyball, and foster teamwork, sportsmanship and an appreciation for health and wellness.
RVC is a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization founded in 1981 to meet the demand for recreational volleyball in the Central Virginia area and to foster a juniors program of over 400 players ages 10 - 18. Currently, RVC has nearly 2,500 active members and up to 230 teams participating in evening recreational leagues from Sunday through Friday. Between our two sites, we have 16 courts and our facilities include concession stands, weight room, a pro shop, and showers.
Richmond Volleyball Club also supports 40 USAV and recreational juniors teams annually. RVC is the oldest and most established juniors program in the central Virginia area. In addition, RVC hosts adult and juniors USA volleyball tournaments.
In addition to indoor leagues and tournaments, Richmond Volleyball Club sponsors outdoor tournaments, skills clinics, referee training, and other special events related to the promotion of volleyball.
A volunteer Board of Directors, consisting of ten members selected from the general membership, guides Richmond Volleyball Club management and officers are elected annually.
The Richmond Volleyball Club juniors program is always searching for paid and volunteer coaches for the upcoming season of USA Volleyball and Juniors Club volleyball. This is a great way to get more experience with volleyball, teach a group of eager young players, and keep costs low for all interested participants.
