The Save Richmond blog is written by Andrew Beaujon, Don Harrison, and a mystery writer dubbed "Eagle Eyes". The blog intends to arouse public sentiment about Richmond's revitalization efforts.

The contributors are "a group of artists, performers, musicians, and journalists that wants its views represented as the city of Richmond creaks toward the future." The opinions and perspectives often take a critical tone about city, state, and national government and politicians.

The bloggers have garnered national attention for presenting stories that the local press refuses to touch, and won the 2005 Laurence E. Richardson Award from The Virginia Coalition For Open Government for uncovering the true finances of a publicly-funded arts foundation that wasted millions in taxpayers dollars toward a project now known as CenterStage. The bloggers are currently challenging an ordinance passed by Richmond City Council that seeks to shield CenterStage from future Freedom of Information Act inquiries.
