Ukrop's is the largest locally owned grocery store in the greater Richmond area. Ukrop's prides themselves on customer service and community support. Ukrop's and Chick-Fil-A are among the few stores that close on Sundays to enable their employees to spend time at church and/or with their families.

In addition to groceries, many Ukrop's locations have cafes, prepared foods, catering services, pharmacies, floral shops and other amenities.

The Ukrop's Valued Customer (UVC) card entitles holders to discounts, reward programs and contest entries. A First Market Bank debit or ATM card can also serve as a UVC card.

History

Joe Ukrop opened the first Ukrop's in 1937. Since then, the chain has expanded to 29 stores including Joe's Market.
