Former Richmond City Council Member William Pantele

William (Bill) Pantele represented the 2nd District on the Richmond City Council from 2001 - 2008 before losing in the mayoral race to Dwight Jones.

Biography

Outside of the Council, Pantele is an Attorney at the Law Office of William J. Pantele and an Arbitrator for the New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Security Dealers. He graduated law school from the University of Virginia School of Law and earned Bachelor of the Arts degrees in Political Science and French from Hampden-Sydney College.

Career

Pantele was appointed to the City Council in September of 2001 to fill the seat vacated by Tim Kaine. Subsequently, he was elected to the City Council in 2002, 2004, and 2006 and served as Co-Chair of the Organizational Development Committee.
