The Bill Bean Jr. Memorial Park is dedicated to the memory of Sacramento Police Officer Bill Bean Jr., who was slain in the line of duty on February 9, 1999. Officer Bean lived as a young boy in the Colonial Manor neighborhood. Members of his family still reside in the neighborhood.
