This commission acts in an advisory capacity to the council, redevelopment agency and staff in their mission to encourage diverse, high-quality residential neighborhoods and the development of affordable housing; provides community input on housing issues and obligations and may have input on financing, relocation, site selection and rehabilitation plans.  Specific areas of involvement include: geographic areas of greatest affordable housing needs; housing legislative issues; marketing strategies for housing programs.

  • Meets bi-monthly on the 2nd Monday of the month at 6PM in the Council Chamber at City Hall, located at 1110 West Capitol Avenue.

  • There are 7 seats. Terms are 1 year, at which time commissioners may reapply for appointment. 

  • Vacancies are announced each November, and applications are accepted through the month of December each year for the following year.
