Eppie's Great Race is a run, bike, paddle triathlon held annually along the American River Parkway in Rancho Cordova and Sacramento, California. Eppie G. Johnson, a local restaurateur, was the originator and sponsor of Eppie's Great Race. This race is the largest paddleboating event in the U.S. Eppie's Great Race is the Sacramento area's best known run-cycle-paddle triathlon. The race raises funds for the Sacramento County Therapeutic Recreation Services that serves mentally and physically challenged people in our local area.
