Guns, also known as firearms are weapons that can propel high velocity projectiles through long hollow rods, often with the intention of creating holes into soda pop cans and people.
Rules
Don't shoot them within the city limits. Unless you're in the confines of an approved shooting range, defending the life of yourself and/or your loved ones, or you wish to leave an identifying mark on a fleeing vehicle.
The Sacramento City Council passed two laws in August 2007. One requires gun owners to report a stolen firearm within 48 hours of it being stolen. The other requires dealers to thumbprint ammo purchasers.
Obtaining a handgun permit:
Obtaining a concealed firearm permit: California is a "may issue" state. You must convince the sheriff's department or police department that you have a need to carry one. The state sets the guideline that an applicant must have "good cause" and "good moral character." The Sheriff's Department requires the applicant to interview witha panel and a deputy, and to take a safety class. Permits last for two years.
