Do you have a passion for floor hockey? If so you might like this game. Join us for floor hockey on Monday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in Sacramento. This is a friendly, social, co-ed and non-violent and somewhat competitive game. It's a great workout and a lot of fun.

Our website is www.SacramentoFloorHockey.com

We play indoors on a hardwood floor with lightweight plastic hockey sticks, pucks and goals. All the equipment is provided. You can bring your own stick with a wood shaft and plastic blade.

Starting on December 7, 2009 we have been playing at the Samuel Pannell Meadowview Community Center at 2450 Meadowview Road in Sacramento. This is a relatively new facility, about 12 years old. It is clean and modern. We are going to like it there.

You can find all of our rules on our facebook page under "discussions".

Rule #1 for our game is "No Pushing". Rule #1 is "No Pushing" for a few reasons. It keeps the game friendly, it cuts down on injuries (but does not totally eliminate them), and it is easy to understand and apply.

There are other rules and we will go over them before we play.

For first time players floor hockey is FREE! After that it will cost $5 per night, as long as there are 11 players or more.

This is an incredible bargain. You get a great workout, a somewhat competitive game that is co-ed and non-violent, the floor hockey group is a group of wonderful friendly people, you get to socialize, and then next week you can come back and do it again. We play year round. If you went to a movie you might see a good movie, and it would cost you probably $9 plus transportation, popcorn, a drink, maybe parking. You'd get all sugared up and get no exercise. So this is a bargain.

This is a friendly game but it is still possible to get hurt. By playing you agree to assume all the risks, known and unknown, regardless of the cause. You also agree to release our host and the organizer from any liability.

Please let me know if you're interested and I'll send you full details. [email protected]

My goal is for us to build a large enough and committed enough group that we can play every Monday night all year long in the spirit of a friendly, social, safe, non-violent and competitive game.

I look forward to playing floor hockey with you.

Hasta lunes,

Mark
