Metro Electronics carries a full range of electronics supplies, mainly aimed at industry professionals. They do not carry consumer electronics such as TVs, computers, or RadioShack-type gadgets. In the front, they have a smallish area with consumer-grade items such as pre-made home theater cables. In the back, however, they have a large selection of professional audio-visual, telephone, computer, and other electronic supplies such as connectors, fuses, lamps, transformers, and various types of wire by the foot or 1000' spools. They cater largely to contractors and large organizations, although they will gladly do business with individuals too.

The staff is helpful, if you ask, but it really helps if you know what you're looking for by brand and part number. The back part of the store is not accessible to customers, therefore, it is a good idea to prepare a list before going in. If you hand them the list, they will run around and grab your items and ring your order up pretty quickly.

They have a strict policy that all backpacks/bags must be left at the counter. They also do not have a public restroom. On-street metered parking is available directly in front of the store at a rate of $0.25 per 15 minutes, with a 30 minute maximum.
