The Mexican Consulate works together with local organizations and promoters coordinating a wide range of public activities and services.

One of the services they provide is health fairs for the community. The consulate provides these services a few times a year in order to reach out to low income families. Their health fairs include visual, dental and regular health exams. Low income families benefit from these services.

The consulate also provides legal documentation to Mexican immigrants. They provide the Consular ID to Mexican immigrants in order for them to have a form of identification. This service is beneficial for those immigrants that do not have any other form of identification. The services also include "Power of Attorney, Notarial Will or Testament, Inheritor legal rejection of a decedent’s estate, Parents Patriae or Legal Guardianship Authorizations over their ward, and Reception of an Holographic Will or Testament". The Mexican Consulate provides the services here in Sacramento and it also travels to other cities for those in need of the services.

Some of the activities that they provide are: civic commemorations, art exhibitions, movie screenings, concerts, conferences and workshops these activities are open to the public. These activities are provided for families to enjoy their culture even though they are away from their heritage. These services are not only provided at the Consulate, but also in different parts of the city. For example, the Consulate provides a festival to celebrate the Mexican Independence day. Each year it is celebrated on September 15, in the capitol.

The Consulate accepts volunteers for the activities provided but do not accept donations since is a Mexican government agency.
