Moxie is an upscale restaurant serving a wide variety of food and wine. They have a menu of modest size, but typically have at least 10 different specials which one of the owners will describe to you in detail after you sit down. They know their food and wine well, and are always happy to make recommendations. They serve beer and wine (with a fairly extensive wine list), but not hard alcohol. The bottom of their menu states "At Moxie you get what you want, if it's in the building or close by we'll fix it for you.".

2010-01-26 18:44:55 Moxie is spectacular! I proposed to my wife here in Oct. 2008. Adam, one of the proprietors, is extremely nice and endlessly helpful. When I made the reservation before the proposal, I let him know what I was planning, and he set aside the perfect table in the corner. He had a huge bouquet of roses waiting on the table when we arrived. Sadly, they were already booked for Valentine's day, but I'm sure we'll be going back again soon. I recommend the salmon - sesame ginger, I think? And my wife's favorite is the macadamia nut crusted Chilean sea bass. The entrees come with seasonal vegetables dressed up beautifully, a generous portion of mashed potatoes (usually horseradish mashed potatoes which are amazing, but one time it was garlic). The wine list is excellent, and they'll recommend something for you if you'd like. They also have an unusually low corkage fee for such a nice restaurant - I think it was $10 or $15. Adam explained that they want to keep prices low for those who are trying to enjoy a nice dinner while saving a little money. IMO it's a great plan.
The desserts are excellent, as are all of the appetizers we've had. I truly can't recommend the place enough. —TomGarberson
