NeighborWorks Home Ownership Center Sacramento Region is a 501(c)(3) housing nonprofit organization that was created in 1987 to revitalize the community. Their mission is "Providing opportunities for successful homeownership and strong communities through quality education, affordable lending, supportive partnerships and dedicated leadership." We use programs and revitalization strategies that will effectively increase and preserve homeownership, improve the condition, health and safety of existing homes, develop quality affordable housing, and empower residents through education and collaboration.

Their core purpose and strategies revolve around increasing homeownership and revitalizing neighborhoods. They believe that strong, thriving communities help residents enjoy a better quality of life and that homeownership, education and leadership support healthy communities. They believe that homeownership is a key component to building and sustaining a healthy stable neighborhood. New homeowners begin to build wealth through equity and adding to the economic strength of the community through their investment.
