Powerbalance Pavilion (originally named Arco Arena) is the home of the Sacramento Kings and the Sacramento Monarchs, as well as a popular music venue. It is located off of Highway 99/Interstate 5 just north of Natomas and has a maximum capacity of 17,317. The NBA has taken an active role in developing a new Kings arena closer to downtown and the current talks involve Cal Expo as the new location.

2008-03-19 12:02:18 The very first public event at the Arco Arena(as best known) was the Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey Circus. We took our young kids so they could say they were there the first night. Strangely they did not hardly make any deal out of the fact that it was the "first." I still have some ephemera from the event for passing down. —WILLIAMJTRINKLE
2008-03-19 12:05:14 The "first" ARCO Arena was up the road apiece from the present facility, closer to Northgate Blvd. It was designed so that it could become an office building after the real arena was completed. I believe it still is used as an office building. —WILLIAMJTRINKLE
