Sacramento Second Saturday is the monthly Sacramento art gallery walk. It takes place on the second Saturday of each month from 6PM to 10PM, depending on the art gallery (hours vary). The Sacramento News & Review issue published the Thursday prior, called "d'ART," contains color Second Saturday maps for Midtown and downtown, and also maps for other communities (Del Paso Heights, Davis, Roseville, etc). D'ART also includes stories on local galleries and artists, and comprehensive listings for galleries and boutiques/shops/salons that participate in Second Saturday.

Another Second Saturday map is at http://www.sacramentomidtown.com/CommunityArtwalkmap.shtml.

Some argue that just hanging a painting should not qualify a place for a listing.

This is all free, of course. This is one of the best art walks anywhere.
