"As part of the body of Christ, Youth for Christ's vision is to see every young person in every group in every nation have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become a part of a local church."

Youth For Christ History

Youth for Christ is a faith based organization that began in 1944, and since then it has had a unique history for youth evangelism. During this time, many young men, mostly ministers and evangelists, were holding large rallies in Canada, England and the United States. The organization rapidly began to form into a national movement. A man by the name of Billy Graham became one of YFC's first full-time staff members. During the YFC's ministry practices it revolved to Bible Clubs in the late 50s and 60s. It was in the course of this period the ministries focus shifted from rallies that emphasized proclamation evangelism to the relevant, relational evangelism to un-churched youth. In 1962 YFC went from being just a national organization to an international. Today its greater emphasis is built on serving kids around the world and bringing them to Christ, helping them to make better decisions for today and the rest of their lives.
