Description

99 Bottles is a favorite Santa Cruz pub that features beers from all over the world. The food is typical "American" pub fare (burgers, fries, salads, what-have-you). The restaurant is family-friendly, but around 10pm it turns into primarily a bar and having kids there isn't really recommended.

It was founded in 1992.  David Bossie and his wife Mia took over the restaurant in July 2012.

Punch Cards

For the over-21 folks, you can request a punch card which has spaces for all 99 types of beer they carry. If you manage to fill out the entire card (this means drinking one of each of the beers and getting the card punched/marked off), they will put your name on a plaque and hang it on the back wall along with the other "Hall Of Fame"ers.

Deals

Students can receive a 15% discount on food by showing their ID cards.

Wednesday Trivia Night

99 Bottles features a rousing Trivia Night every Wednesday starting around 8pm. People usually arrive early to get a table. The contest is about 30 questions long, with many varying types of questions including puzzles, general trivia, "name that tune", anagrams and more. The questions are often quite difficult and obscure. Gift certificates are awarded for first, second and third places. You don't have to be 21 to play.
