On November 15, 2008, the new tasting room opened. Randall Grahm, Founder and President-For-Life, wrote, "Bonny Doon's newly expanded winery tasting room will engage the most jaded imbiber by offering a richer and more complex tasting experience."
In 2009 the Cellar Door Cafe restaurant was opened, and in April of 2012 its named was changed to Le Cigare Volant, which itself was closed at the end of 2012.
