Soquel Drive crosses Borregas Creek at Cabrillo College. Runs Southsouthwest along the eastern edge of Cabrillo College. It enters the ocean near New Brighton State Beach.

Early Spanish name was Zanjon de Dorregas or "Lamb Gulch." On older maps, and at least one reference book, it has been listed as Borregas Gulch.
