Boulder Creek Hardware  (as of 2019) is now part of Scarbourgh Lumber and part of Ace Hardware stores.   While mostly home furnishings, the plan is to become more of a general hardware store. While starting as an independent store, they became a part True Value Hardware stores and were bought by Scarbourgh to become part of Ace Hardware in 2019.

This building was once the home of the Mountain Echo, a newspaper started in 1892. There is an historic plaque on the front of the building.  On the side of the building (Forest Street) there are historic murals. One of the Train Station  (about 1885) and another of the flume that was used from 1875-1885.

The building was listed as an historic landmark by the Museum of Art and History in 2006.
