Lake
Buzzard Lagoon is a small seasonal lake at elevation 1913 feet (583 meters) near the eastern border of the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park.
History
The name has been traced back to 1875. There is no record on why the small body of water was named Buzzard Lagoon. In May of 2008 a 4,000 acre forest fire include the area of Buzzard Lagoon. The lake has appeared on web sites as a possible fishing site. However, most agree with the description by a local, "...there are no fish here. It dries up in the summer and you can throw a stone across the lake in the winter." It has never appeared on the :California Department of Fish & Game Fishing Guide.

There are no businesses near the lake.
Transportation
There is no public transportation to Buzzard Lake. No public roads lead to the lake. An area road is named for the lake. While it is in the area, it is not near the lake.
