Grey Bears has been serving the community for over four decades through reclaiming, reusing, and recycling resources that would otherwise go to waste. Grey Bears has created a model template for a self-sustaining nonprofit. The Grey Bears thrift store and the Computer Electronics store sell donated items at terrific values; all proceeds go to support the Brown Bag Program. The Brown Bag program delivers fresh bags of produce to 4,500 seniors every week. Grey Bears want to promote the healthy living of seniors and the preservation of our environment while diverting as much from the waste stream. Grey Bears has distributed 2.1 million pounds of food, providing 1 million meals to seniors, while diverting 7,500 tons of material through their recycling centers.

Grey Bears has a variety of programs including the Brown Bag program, recycling programs, and composting programs.                                              Program and services overview information: http://www.greybears.org/our-programs/

Grey Bears hosts free, low cost and by-donation classes for seniors. Events are also held such as the Annual Holiday Dinner, the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, etc. To see what classes or events are taking place, please check the calendar: http://www.greybears.org/classes/events/
