Companion Bakers specialize in traditional sourdough breads and local artisanal baked goods featuring fresh organic ingredients. Co-owner Erin Lampel originally learned to make sourdough at the UC Santa Cruz Farm and Garden program.
Bread sells for $5 to $6 a loaf; baguettes are $3, and fruit galettes are $2.50.
Some of their products include:Hearty, Hand-Shaped Sourdough Bread, Sourdough Pizza Dough, Sourdough Crackers, Wheat Free Multi-Grain Cereal, Freshly Toasted Organic Granola, Pumpkin Bread, Persimmon/Walnut Bread, Buttermilk Scones, both sweet & savory, and Lemon Bars.
