Overview
Eastside Santa Cruz spans from approximately East of the San Lorenzo River and ends at the city limits, but some people refer to areas outside of the city limits as the eastside as well. It could be that some consider 'eastside' to mean the east side of the city of Santa Cruz, while others consider the east side to be the east side of the San Lorenzo River. The areas of the Yacht Harbor, Seabright and Branciforte are considered to be located in Eastside Santa Cruz, though that is debated and some people prefer to call those areas Midtown. Although not technically a part of Santa Cruz city proper, the unincorporated community of Live Oak is often considered as part of Eastside Santa Cruz as well.
