Gateways was one of the largest metaphysical/spiritual bookstores in the United States. They had an extensive collection of books about natural healing, spiritual groups, religion, astrology, homeopathy, divination, yoga, psychedelia, etc. They also sold a large range of yoga products, statuettes/figurines, calendars, incense, candles, crystals, childrens books, music, wind chimes, and DVDs, and they held weekly events and workshops.
Gateways was first located downtown at the corner of Pacific Avenue and Cathcart Street.
