Grove-Portola Savings and Loan was originally located at 126 Walnut Avenue. In the 1968 telephone directory it was listed at 701 Front Street. In 1970 it was bought by Golden West Savings and Loan. Golden West Savings and Loan became known as World Savings after 1975.
Grove-Portola Savings and Loan was renamed from Portola Savings and Loan, which was once located on Pacific Avenue.
