Harkins Slough runs from Larkin Valley to Watsonville Slough. A distance of about three miles. Gallighan Slough, merges into Harkins Slough.

History

Named for James Harkin who started farming in the area about 1876.

Businesses

The area is wetlands, bordered by farmland. There is commerce in nearby Watsonville.

Transportation

Harkins Slough has no bus stops. The only road access is Harkins Slough Road which is closed at the area of the slough due to flooding.
