Description
Joe Ferrara is a local business owner and musician who currently plays regular gigs at the Shadowbrook. Previous regular engagements include The Grapesteak in Capitola where he played for 13 years from 1976 to 1989. Ferrara has performed the National Anthem at least once a year since 1983 at San Francisco Giants games. In 1997 he was awarded a Gail Rich award.
Ferrara is the owner of the comic book shop Atlantis Fantasyworld. In 2011, Joe Ferrara had his letter published in the #2 issue of Sergio Aragonès Funnies comic magazine. A rare consideration.

2011-06-01 19:13:38 Joe is a fantastic musician. My wife took me to Shadowbrook for our fourth anniversary, and we arrived early. When he sat down we were lucky enough to be right beside him. Charming and friendly, he found out why we were there and played some gorgeous tunes. As a trained musician myself whose clarinet career was destroyed by tonsillectomy, i was moved by his attention to intonation, timbre, time and technicality. What a special time it was. I'd love to play with him sometime even only in a short backup role, on clarinet or rhythm guitar. A true musician. - Dan Fruzzetti —184.193.130.137
