Laurel Creek near the Old San Jose Road turnoff at Summit Road.

Laurel Creek is about 3.1 miles long. It joins Burns Creek and they become West Branch Soquel Creek Laurel Creek starts near the Summit Road area and flows toward Old San Jose Road. There are a few small waterfalls on the creek. Because of silt, the water quality was listed as "moderate" in 2002. Laurel Creek is part of the Soquel Creek watershed.

Community Laurel Creek is north of the village of Soquel.

History The name is possibly from the California Laurel trees common in Santa Cruz County. It is known that there was a grist mill on the stream.

Businesses The area is residential.

Transportation Soquel San Jose Road crosses Laurel Creek near Summit Road.

Some maps list the address as being on Old San Jose Road. This is the former name of the road.
