Liquor Barn was a discount liquor store owned by Safeway, Inc. Liquor Barn moved into this location after Lucky's Supermarket moved out and into Capitola (where Ross department store is located). The former location of Liquor Barn now houses the East Santa Cruz branch of the United States Postal Service.
Although the address of the East Santa Cruz branch of the Post Office is 120 Morrissey Blvd, The Liquor Barn used a Soquel Avenue address in the phone book and other directories. The parking lot bordered Soquel Avenue.
