The name "Live Soup" comes from a brew for making beer. The place was a micro brewery and nightclub that served food.
It was never busy as a lunch venue.
The kitchen closed before the shows started, and the bar did not serve mixed drinks.
The shows were popular with new bands. I remember Junk Sick Dawn, Loop Guru, and Men 'R Pigs. Later the place included odd acts. I remember Tim the Torture King.
