Community

Mid-County is a general term for the area between Santa Cruz and Watsonville. This includes the communities of Soquel, Capitola, Aptos, Rio Del Mar and Seacliff. Some residents consider La Selva Beach part of Mid-County.  The county government considers La Selva Beach as part of south county. (Specifically in birth records.)

History

Mid-County High School was originally the suggested name for the school that became Soquel High School.

Businesses

Several businesses have used the name Mid-County.  Some examples:

Transportation

The bus servers many parts of Mid-County.
  Highway 1 is the main roan through Mid-County.

Maps

Most of Mid-County is covered by Voting District 2, except for Capitola and Soquel.
