Why does a county park have a Watsonville address, a Santa Clara County phone number and is mentioned on the Santa Clara County website? For years, the park was on the border of Santa Clara County and Santa Cruz County. In 1971 the government of both counties made a few changes to the borders. One change was to put all the park into Santa Clara County. (All but a few acres was already in Santa Clara County.) The park is the turn-around point of the Post Office mail route to farms in the area. So, the park still has a Watsonville address.
