View from the parking lot. Over the sand dune is the beach area. Dogs are allowed if on a leash up to six feet. Palm Beach is state park. There is a fee for parking there. Palm Beach is not the best surfing spot because the break is too close to the shore. Many consider this just an extension of Sunset State Beach. There are no signs to this beach nor is it listed on the California State Parks website.
Waves can become excellent given the correct sandbar formations.
