Established
July 26, 1775.
Payment Method
Cash, Visa, MasterCard,DiscoverCard, Amex, debit card, and money order.

In order to make purchases after business hours at locations with the "Automated Postal Center" machines, you can only pay using a credit or debit card.  The machines do NOT accept cash.  The post office has been removing all the machines that accept U.S. paper money and change (for security reasons).  One alternative is to go to one of the many of the larger supermarkets, drug stores, office supply stores, banks, and credit unions where you can still make your stamps purchases with cash.

*A Sub Post Office is not owned by the USPS. The USPS now calls them "Village Post Offices" and defines them as, "Village Post Offices are operated by community businesses to provide selected postal products and services."  This is not the same as stores that sell stamps (like Wells Fargo Bank) or those that do shipping (like the UPS Store).
