The Simpkins Family Swim Center opened to the public in the summer of 1998, There is a slide, community center and kitchen. This site is also the location of the Parks Department main offices. There are four pools.
The 50 meter 18 lane lap pool is the largest in Santa Cruz County. This pool is used for lap swimming, water polo and water aerobics. The pool is heated to maintain 78 degrees.
The 43k gallon warm water pool is used for therapy, the temperature warmer at 86 degrees.
