The Park Entrance to Wilder Beach is through Wilder Ranch State Historic Park. The entrance is located along Highway One, North of Santa Cruz. Look for a brown sign saying, "WILDER RANCH STATE PARK."

There is a day fee for parking. The latrines are located at the parking area. The parking area is about 1¼ miles from the beach by trail. The road beyond the parking area is for authorized vehicles only. Bicycles are permitted. The beach is several miles using the road.

Tips Cell phone service is spotty at Wilder Beach. AT&T lists the area as "moderate" on the coverage map. Sprint has the area as "no coverage" on their map.

Businesses Wilder Ranch State Historic Park has a gift shop.

Transportation There are bike lanes along Highway One.

Once in awhile, someone gets the idea they can park near Natural Bridges State Beach and paddle a surf board to Wilder Beach. It is longer than it looks on the map. The current pushes you toward the rocks.
