Antonelli Pond was aquired and is managed by the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County. It is a small human-made pond, fed by Moore Creek as it passes through to Natural Bridges State Beach, and it is home to a wide variety of wildlife. There is a loop path that circles the perimeter of the pond and crosses over the railroad bridge. The land was acquired in four parcels by the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, with full ownership by 1994.

History

Antonelli Pond was originally called Moore Pond, because its water source came from Moore Creek Preserve. It was dammed to create a water supply for the San Vicente Lumber Company's mill.
