Ocean Street is a major road in Santa Cruz, complete with its own Highway 17 exit. Most tourists use this junction to get to the beach from the highway. This street runs South to North  from  San Lorenzo Boulevard, for about 1½ miles to meet Graham Hill Road. Even some locals miss the fact that Ocean Street turns WEST at the start of Highway 17 and continues under the freeway, past the Santa Cruz Memorial Cemetery to join Graham Hill Road and Ocean Street Extension.  While Ocean Street is a major street to get to the Pacific Ocean, the Pacific Ocean cannot be seen from any point on Ocean Street.

OCEAN STREET Extension

As Ocean Street meets Graham Hill Road, it becomes Ocean Street Extension.  This runs from Ocean Street for almost two miles to meet John Street.

OCEAN STREET, Davenport

There is also an Ocean Street in the town of Davenport (about 11 miles north of Santa Cruz).  It's only 1 block in length, running west-east between Highway 1 and Marine View Avenue.  The Pacific Elementary School is located on this street.
