About:

Scarborough Disablement Action Group (DAG) helps around 5,000 disabled people every year with welfare and benefits advice and information about improving quality of life. If you are disabled and want help with your benefits, start here.

We provide a guide to holidaying in Scarborough for disabled people.

Scarborough DAG has operated for 25 years and is staffed almost entirely by committed volunteers. In 2014 we moved to The Street, the large new building on William Street Car Park just off Dean Road where we are accessible, on the ground floor, and with easy to access toilets close by (directions).

In addition, we provide poverty advice help for Yorkshire Coast Homes and we run the PSI Board for North Yorkshire County Council where disabled people meet to discuss council plans and provide feedback. We are also part of a Lottery funded Citizen's Advice Bureau fastrack scheme in which support agencies work together to provide a broad package of support.
