Location
The Ambassador Hotel is a 6 story SRO, located in the Tenderloin district at 55 Mason Street, at Eddy Street. It is owned and managed by the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC), at 201 Eddy Street, at Taylor Street.
Residency
The Ambassador, like all hotels owned by the TNDC, does not rent from the front desk. To apply for residence at the Ambassador, you must go to the TNDC office and get an application, and prove eligibility.
History
The Ambassador was originally called The Ferris Harriman Theater and Hotel. The theater was converted to a garage in 1929.
