The Castro Muni station is an underground station and the southernmost Muni station on Market Street. It is situated between Church and Forest Hill stations.

Castro station is the Muni station of choice for those wishing to travel to and from the Castro, though Church station is only half a mile to the northeast. (Forest Hill station is approximately 1.5 miles away, as the crow flies, on the opposite side of Twin Peaks.)
