Florida St Cafe looks swish, with waiter service and everyone swooping around and escorting you to your white linen table. But it's also very cheap. The reason is that it's part of the community activist-started Latino Cuisine Culinary Academy (LLCA), a vocational course aimed at giving those with little or no restaurant experience knowledge in how to earn a good wage. It's also generally pretty yummy. I hear the breakfast burritos are good too, but I never get up early enough to find out.
