There was a 5-alarm fire in Mission Bay right before 5Pm on March 11, 2014.

The building that burned down was a $227mn under-construction apartment complex called MB360.

Over 150 firefighters contained the fire by the end of the day. 2 firefighters were injured and there were no other injuries.

The city had to use its emergency water supply to contain the fire, which raised questions about the ability of the city to deal with multiple fires in the case of an emergency. Here's an article about that.
