There's lots of different neighborhood associations and neighborhood groups throughout the city, each serving a particular neighborhood.  None of them have any official connection with the city government¹, but most are somewhat active in neighborhood or broader city affairs.

1. Some cities, such as Raeligh, NC, have official Citizen Advisory Councils.  SF has no such concept, and all neighborhood associations have no formal legal connection to the government.
