Pacific Service Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that offers all of the services of a bank. They offer free checking and savings accounts. There is no minimum balance for the free checking account, and there is no monthly fee. They also offer a free box of checks with new free checking accounts. They also offer ATM fee rebates up to $15 per month and free checks for life with direct deposit or an account balance of $25,000.

They also offer free and unlimited online transfers between your accounts and other financial institutions.

Pacific Service Credit Union is a member of the Co-Op ATM network with over 28,000 surcharge free ATMs. Transactions are free at all other Co-Op ATMs. Most credit union ATMs are part of this network. In addition, Pacific Service Credit Union is part of the shared branch network. You can bank at any participating credit union that is part of this network. There are over 4,000 credit union branches that participate. You can get cash, deposit money, and do other banking transactions.

You can become a member if you live, work, worship or attend school in Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Marin, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano or Sonoma counties (California). In addition, family members and household members of current members are also eligible. There are also other eligible groups that are listed on the credit union's website.

Applying for membership is available online or in person. When applying in person, it is often easier because you are able to get a debit card created in the office as well get a free order of temporary checks. Please note that new accounts are subject to an approximate 1 month hold on funds. It will take 1 month before you can start taking money out of your account.
