The Fillmore is perhaps the most iconic of all San Francisco music venues. It is the birthplace of many of the bands from the '60s rock revolution, as well as the original venue created by infamous Bay Area music promoter Bill Graham. It is known for its inspirational stage, as well as its notorious posters. Today, unfortunately, it has been taken over by ClearChannel. While this has the downside of high ticket and drink prices, it has meant that the venue has been beautifully restored, and will operate for years to come.
