The Shakespeare Garden is a small garden within Golden Gate Parkdedicated to the flowers featured or referenced within the works of Shakespeare. Each of the 200 some flowers are described within a play of Shakespeare, and several of the flora-related quotes are featured on copper plaques at the rear of the garden. Located directly next to the Academy of Sciences off of the Music Concourse, the Shakespeare Garden is hidden away by sloping trees while maintaining a central location within the greater park. This seclusion keeps the garden relatively low-populated, making it a perfect space for those who wish for some peace and quiet.
