The Summit was a cafe and startup incubator office space located on the site of the former New College campus. The space on 780 Valencia street is owned by Venture Capital firm IO Ventures. They were originally open until 3AM every night, but their late-night thing was gradually scaled back over the course of the couple years they were open.
IO Ventures operated a startup incubator space out of the upper level of the cafe, which may or may not have been a loophole around zoning restrictions.
The Summit closed its doors 2012-2. It was replaced by 780 Cafe Lounge. The building is still owned by Venture Capital firm IO Ventures and IO is planning to continue to use the space for its startups.
